For those of you who are just checking in...
There have been an awesome (as in awe-inspiring, not wicked cool) series of events that I've learned many things from. Here are just a few lessons I've learned...
1. Life is easier when you are on time, dependable, and willing to work hard.
2. Happy bosses make happy employees.
3. Laughter really does fix life's problems.
4. Communication is hard and takes effort but it is ALWAYS worth it.
5. Divorces suck. No matter who you are or what the situation.
6. I have a wonderful sister who loves me even when I wreck her car.
7. It's better to take care of something now, then to procrastinate and have regret later.
8. Think more, then speak (or act).
9. Learn to listen to others and serve as much as you can.
10. Positivity is the breath of life. If you put a smile on your face, things are bound to get brighter.
I've learned to trust the Lord and listen to His wisdom. Life is meant to be hard and to try us, to keep us humble and teachable, but also is meant to be enjoyed. If you haven't relished in a hobby recently, I highly advise you to get to it! A wise man once explained to me that people have more time than they think they do. They just need to prioritize and utilize it wisely to get the maximum output, so to speak. Anyway...
This post was supposed to be about blessings. I am so blessed. I have friends who love me and want the best for me. They understand my faults and don't get mad when I don't call them for months. I have a family who supports me in every way. They recognize my talents and help me overcome my shortcomings. I have a boyfriend who loves me just the way I am and always pushes me to dream bigger and be better- starting today. I have a wonderful place to live with roommates who tolerate my absentmindedness, and will let me turn the heat up now and again. :) I have a car that runs, food in the cupboard to eat, clothes to wear, music to enjoy, a warm bed, a healthy (debatable, but close enough) body, and a God who not only knows I exist, but One who loves me, appreciates me, supports me, listens to me, is patient with me, and allows me to make the right mistakes to learn the lessons I need to. So when life gives you lemonade, take a big juicy bite and say, "SWEET NIBLETS that's bitter! WHAT ELSE YA GOT?!" I am blessed to be alive. I am thankful for my life. No one else could live it quite the way I do... and isn't that a wonderful thing?!
